Regarding French homework

Dear Parents, I
am happy to give you information about the homework organization of my
class.
I give the homework on a printed page in the orange notebook two weeks in advance.
You can find the homework on the website one month in advance
(normally, if I am not too late)
I
use three days per week for French homework, letting free two days because last
year my English teacher wanted to use these two other days for English homework.
This year the English teacher uses another way, therefore, please always give
the priority to English homework first.
I
give the homework in advance so that you can organize the work of your child,
taking in account her or his fatigue, or her or his preference, or her or his
good will. (no homework is important enough to deserve tears of one child) If
you have some event at home such as a visit of grandparents or if you are pushed
for time for professional or personal reasons, you can postpone the
homework.
For helping parents, I add a sign of importance regarding the
homework. Three stars is very important, two stars not important, and one star
is optional.
In France, homework is forbidden. All the work needs to be
completed in class. The government doesn't want to put the student with
parents without time in evening at an unfair disadvantage. The homework I give
is not mandatory.
The students paste the homework in the orange notebook. Please use
the page under the homework and the page in front. I prefer when the student
uses the same presentation that we use in class, with blue, black writing and
red pen for underlining.
Sometimes the homework needs to be completed in the red notebook
of history-geography-science. Please use the time of homework to make the
research with your child about pictures. Try to help your child to judge if the
illustration is appropriate with the lesson. Help your child to write the
comment under the picture. Talk to your child about your personal interest for
this lesson, and try to find some link with the family history.
Because I give the homework in advance, the drawbacks is, sometime
for some reasons, the lesson which matches with the homework is not completed in
class. In this case don't make the homework.
On the website, many time clicking on the title of the subject of
the homework you can reach the poetry or the vocabulary requested on the
homework. But I am not a computer man and many times you could find my mistakes.
